2020年3月1日 · The easiest way to increase the power of M62TU is purchasing an intake manifold from M62. [I assume here they mean the M60] It has the wider ports, and it will give some increase HP. For still greater power it is necessary to buy performance cams (258/258 deg, for example), cat-back exhaust system and to tune ECU.

2012年4月8日 · The M60 was installed in the E34. It's a 4 liter engine. The M62 was installed in the '97 -'98 MY cars, and is a 4.4 liter engine. The M62-TU was installed in all subsequent E39s: 4.4 liter, and is single VANOS per bank. I believe the S62, in the M5, had double VANOS.

2017年9月26日 · A supercharged M62/M60 hybrid with M60B40 cam timing @ 5500ft elevation with 6.5psi of boost has an effective/dynamic CR of 12.16:1. Less then a stock M60B40 running this same supercharger at sea level. Compression of this engine: I've checked piston to deck height with a dial indicator on the M62 to find the pistons sit .033" (.84mm) above deck.

2005年4月2日 · Mine has 193k miles and it still runs good. As long as you keep up with the maintenance, they should last forever. M62 probably outlast the car, you'll see wheels falling off long before M62 dies. besides, we're talking about 50k+ cars, so generally expensive mid size/ large size luxury cars lasts much longer than average econobox.
