2023年3月16日 · We love BMW for its phenomenal rear-wheel-drive feel. The 2014-2016 M235i was rear-wheel-drive for S3 money, and it was good. (Although the steering was lifeless, and the straight-six puts enough weight over the front to severely impact handling - making the M2 sportier, but also the 228i Track Handling Pack.)

2023年5月8日 · If the s3 was a bit cheaper id pick it but for the money, the m340i is a better car. The gas mileage should end up being similar to the s3 - bmw makes a very efficient inline 6. All that said If you pick the BMW I think the premium package with the HUD and heated seats, etc are a good call if you want a comfortable daily.

2019年7月30日 · I’ve owned both, for the moment still do. I have equal love for Audi and BMW. The car in question was a RWD auto almost completely un-optioned, only the navigation was selected making the MSRP $47,500. $6,500 less than my S3’s sticker. The list of positives are fairly short IMO. The engine sounds great, better than the noise the S3 makes.

2022年4月28日 · I don't get the S3. It's a more expensive Golf R - I just don't get it. There was even a funny period when you could get the S3 for less than the Golf R due to discounts and promos - but that's not the case these days. So I don't see the case for the S3's higher costs of ownership for the slightly nicer interior.

2022年5月20日 · I’m a bit confused by the fact those two cars have matching torque numbers but very different horsepower. The S3 shaves almost a second off the 0-60 time, too, and despite the extra torque the 230i and my A3 have identical rated 0-60 (and same weight). I’m struggling to figure out if the 230i is any faster at all than my A3 as a result.
