2016年9月28日 · BMW's re-envisioned car, the V12 LMR, turned up to the Sebring 12 hours. One car crashed out in 40th place, the other came away with the trophy. The Bscher/Price car also arrived, though met it's demise in a crash and came in 41st place. BMW brought three cars to Le Mans Pre-qualifying, two race cars and an obligatory art car.

2020年3月18日 · The BMW V12 LMR was a Le Mans Prototype built for sports car racing from 1999 to 2000 by BMW. The car was built through an alliance between BMW Motorsport and Williams F1, and was the successor to the failed BMW V12 LM of 1998. It is famous for being BMW's only overall victor of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

2023年10月2日 · I've spend so many hours building this thing. ~3,5h Building/designing and 2h tweaking/tuning it. It has the BMW S70/3 V12 , wich produces around 630HP (It's the same engine, as in the Mclaren F1).

2021年4月15日 · The BMW S70 and its derivatives actually won two 24 Hours of Le Mans races. And in different make cars! In '95 as the engine for the McLaren F1 GTR and then again in '99 as the engine for the BMW V12 LMR. Both the victories are the only ones for their respective manufacturers. It gets my vote for the greatest NA high performance engine.

2023年9月8日 · This car has the superior to mclaren engine, the lmr v12 engine. I always used to hate that mercedes didnt make any v8 and v12s with manuals even though they lacked hp but excelled in torque. Then i learned the x5 v12 will break the manual trans if you go more than half throttle in the 1st and 2nd gear.
