2012年6月11日 · The E-9 locomotive was the last in a long line of Electro-Motive Division of General Motors (EMD), built between 1954 and 1964. They received two 1200 horsepower 567C diesel motors with a generator to power the passenger car accessories (lights, heat, AC).

2015年6月8日 · Burlington Northern Railroad E9Am 9912 at Aurora, Illinois on July 13, 1982, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. BN 9912 was built December 1955 (c/n 20538) as CB&Q 9987B on EMD Order 2071. It became BN 9982 on March 2, 1970, was sold to the West Suburban Mass Transit District on August 18, 1972 and leased back to the BN.

2005年10月10日 · BN E9s are long gone from the Metra system. Indeed some where sold to MARC, but have all been retired. Two or three of them were used for parts for the IC/CN E units, and had been sitting around Northeastern IL for some time. They were all discarded in the past year or so and two have made their way back to the Illinois Railway Museum.
