On the morning of December 1, 2023, the BNSF 191 Local was tied down on a stub of the former Santa Fe Matagorda District west of the Lux Road crossing along the west side of Sealy, TX. This part of the line was built by the Cane Belt in 1900, and parts of the Matagorda District were sold by Santa Fe to A&K Railroad Materials in 1990.

A week ago, on the morning of Friday, June 14th, a very short BNSF 191 Local was tied down on the west side of Sealy, TX. The trackage here is a remnant of the Santa Fe's Matagorda District, and it currently has a transload facility at the end of line west of this location, just north of US 90.
