Freshly outshopped Santa Fe slug 140 at San Bernadino, CA, February 16, 1986. Likely was Illinois Terminal SD39 2304, ex-Norfolk & Western 2964, ATSF 140:3, ATSF 1140:2 and nowadays BNSF 3971 (BNSF 3967-3977, 11 units). Originally built by EMD in May 1969. One of my favorite paint schemes. Ranks up there with Speed Lettering.
