Photo ID: 594745 Not Street Running? Snaking it's way through Kingman Canyon on a hot afternoon, BNSF 8000 leads a westbound Q train out of the rocky canyon and toward its next crew change point of Needles.

BNSF 8000 is one of the new run Kato SD40-2s (BN 6770) that I renumbered and re-detailed to match today's BNSF 8000. I don't think I like the color of those lights, but other than that the units look OK and are great pullers.

More GE C4's keep coming. BNSF 8000-8006 now on the property. I wish they would just go back to the ES44AC's.

Recently I asked about BNSF SD40-2's 8090-8181 that left the BNSF roster for lease fleets in 2002 and 2004. Now I am curious about the ex-BN 8000-8089 that BNSF kept. I just checked my most recent photos and the last one I rostered was BNSF 8062 on 8-10-07 in Seattle. Are these SD40-2's active or in storage?
