That air must remain in the system or you will experience a sudden momentary rich condition if it is suddenly vented to the atmosphere.

2024年4月22日 · That's what happened to me anyway. All of a sudden, driving the car, it started making a new flutter noise while under boost. Normally I can hear the BPV dumping when I let off the gas, but in this case: The noise was new, it didn't do it before; It happened while under boost; I replaced the BPV, car went back to normal.

2014年10月16日 · The Stock BPV is a well made great unit, and most times there is no need to replace it. There are some reasons for replacing it though. You maybe running a larger turbo, running more boost, or you could have an older car, with a valve that has started to become leaky under boost conditions.

2024年11月14日 · Okay so i can confirm i had some kind of leak. Car now hits 24 psi (target 20.5) after switching to the grimmspeed BPV. So i got tuned on a leaky BPV. Sunday i will smoke test all the lines. If no leaks, i will talk to the tuner because there is nowhere else to look.

2006年11月24日 · Also no running issues witht he car, and i know my car doesnt like 100% atmos bov,s i had a forge 100%, sounded awesome but made the car run like poop. Than i switched to a forge 100% recirc bpv, nice but not the sound for me. now im happy with the worx. its a DS1 btw

2006年3月20日 · The only problem is that most of those threads are filled with "it sucks" type of comments, or inaccurate statements like "it will make your car run rich", etc. Heck, even your own post says that. IMO what is needed is a definitive description of the function of the BPV/BOV, along with actual real world impact from running an atmospheric BOV.

2007年5月7日 · A lot of aftermarket bpv do both vent to atmosphere and vent to intake and there is no third connection. You should see a small vacuum line from the valve that tells it when to open, and a larger opening with a flange of some sort on it that recirculates air back into the intake stream (after the MAF).
