Here's a photo of former Belt Railway of Chicago Alco C424. The unit is now owned by the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad. I found the unit sitting by the depot in Springdale, AR. The former BRC #600 is coupled to the rear of #605. I noticed several other former BRC units sitting nearby, but was unable to get access to them for photos.

The BRC C-424's would be considered phase III units. They had the batteries moved to the rear under the deck on the left hand side. They were built in late 1965 and early 1966. The 605 was the last C-424 built, May 1966.

C424's #603 and #602 pass underneath Burlington Northern's Chicago-Aurora triple track mainline at LaGrange, Illinois. C424 #600 waits as a Burlington Northern C30-7 rolls past with an eastbound coal train. A Canadian National freight crosses the Cal-Sag Channel and heads south through Blue Island on one of the junctions numerous bridges.
