BRIC-NCCS Congratulates Ms. Rumpa Mahata, Research Student from Dr. Manas Santra's group on receiving the Best Poster Presentation Award at ProUPS : Protaostasis and Ubiquitin Proteasome System, 1st International Conference on Cellular Symphony : D Coding Protein Homeostasis in Human Health.

We are using state-of-the-art mass spectrometric quantitative methods to identify differentially regulated proteins between non-neoplastic and neoplastic conditions and for characterizing post-translational modifications for several cancers. Candidate target markers are validated using immuno assays as well as SRM assays.

She joined NCCS, Pune as a senior scientist in Aug. 2001. Ever since, she is working as an independent investigator in the cutting-edge research area of stem cells and development, and tissue engineering. She also serves as an Adjunct Faculty of Dept. of Biotechnology, SPPU and RCB, Faridabad.
