2017年4月30日 · It is a round patch depicting the Colonial seal in the middle, around which the ship's name together with its battlestar group are written. Galactica's crew patch is colored gold, with "Battlestar Galactica BSG 75" written around the seal in a very dark, almost black, blue. The Pegasus patch is blue with white lettering.

The Colonial Seal of the 12 Colonies could be an allusion to the Greek Phoenix, which thematically fits with the mythology. The Phoenix is reborn from its ashes. Whether or not the Starship Operators emblem is meant to be a Phoenix I can't confirm.

2022年9月20日 · It's most often referred to as a phoenix, as maestrita stated. From the ashes of Kobol came the colonies, thus the phoenix -- a Greek myth on Earth -- makes sense. As for the points/wings/feathers, it depends on which one you're looking at. Some decals had twelve, but most, like the Galactica's seal, have ten.

On the emblems it says ‘BSG’ = battlestar group. The number relates to the fleet the ship is assigned to. If the ship was reassigned, the number would change; the number doesn’t relate to the ship’s age.

Coins presumably represent the smallest denominations of cubits and come in both gold and silver. Like many things in BSG, these coins are octagonal in shape. On the coin's obverse is the symbol of it colony of origin. On the reverse is the colonial insignia.
