2016年5月9日 · I recently invested a tenner in a BSR McDonald MP60 turntable, which under the dust and grime proved to be as cute as a button and in near-enough full working order. I've carried out the usual adjustments to set it up properly, and lubricated the spindle shaft & bearing, the motor and the idler wheel bearing.

2023年6月15日 · Unlike my other BSRs, this one is a single-play unit. There should have been a multiplay adapter included for this record player. Usually they are in a compartment to hide it away when not in use. I am thinking that the multiplay spindle would be like a dual one where the part that holds up the record us built in instead of having a holding arm.

2023年6月15日 · The MP60 single-play deck is fairly common in 240v/50Hz regions but a 120v/60Hz version is relatively uncommon. Picked this up for dirt cheap too. Has a Shure M55e cartridge tracking at 1.9g. Bowtie antenna are so hot right now :] I have this old ass brass standing square one that has a good 2mm of nicotine patina.
