Problems with the gearboxes were addressed by the model C11G, which was available either with a three speed gearbox and a rigid frame or with a four speed gearbox in the plunger frame. The C11G also had improved front brakes and became popular as a post war commuter motorcycle.

C11G was available as a 3 speeder with rigid frame or 4 speeder with plunger frame. Both had better front brake. Most left on the road have chassis upgrade to safer spec and not too bad as mild all-rounder.

2020年1月1日 · I've never had the need to fit electronic ignition to a pre-unit C, Roland, only to Triumph and BSA big twins and AMC singles. The Boyer and Pazon systems are very similar, due to their common heritage, so both need modifying to nail into a C11G because the diameter of the C mounting plate is different to anything else.

A 250cc BSA C11G motorcycle from the 1950s. - Old Classic Car
The BSA C11 had a 250cc OHV single cylinder engine, and was introduced in 1939. After the war, in 1956 to be exact, the frame was changed to one featuring a plunger rear end. The revised C11G came with either a 3 speed gearbox or a 4 speed 'box and the plunger frame arrangement, which I think is the setup on the motorbike shown here.
