All BTA buses are wheelchair accessible. Persons with disabilities, whether physical or cognitive, may ride the fixed-route service if they are able to get to and from the bus stops. Individuals who are ADA eligible and are unable to get to and from the bus stops may schedule rides on our special curb-to-curb service by calling 24 hours in advance.

BTA is a fixed route transit system that operates five local fixed routes in Butler, PA and commuter runs between Butler and Pittsburgh.

Butler Transit Authority, also known as theBus or the BTA, is a public transportation service in Butler, Pennsylvania. [1] The service provides local transit in central Butler County and commuter routes from Butler to Pittsburgh. [2] The BTA operates a fleet of 12 buses. [1] The service transports nearly a quarter million passengers annually. [1]

BTA operates service to and from Pittsburgh Monday through Friday. Below is a brief description of the Routes followed by the schedules. Routes 1 & 2 operate Route 8 and Route 28 between Butler and downtown Pittsburgh. Routes 3 & 4 operate Route 68, I-79, I-279 between Butler and downtown Pittsburgh.

BTA operates four local routes primarily through Butler Township and Butler City. Route 3 also services parts of Center Township and Summit Township. Our destination guide highlights stops and roads serviced by each route.
