On 25 November 2023, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced that it had awarded a contract to BYD to purchase 240 3-door BYD BC12A04 buses, with an option for 60 more exercised in October 2024. They had entered revenue service on 2 December 2024, [ 27 ] deployed on bus routes 80, 86, 107, 107M, 116 and 159.
