Bahne Rabe (7 August 1963 – 5 August 2001) was a competition rower from West Germany. He won two Olympic medals in the eight event: a gold in 1988 and a bronze in 1992, and in 1991 he won a world title in the coxed fours.

2011年12月7日 · Seoul Olympic men’s eight gold medallist Bahne Rabe has died after a battle with anorexia, a German newspaper reported on Sunday. Rabe died on August 5 in Kiel, Germany, two days before his 38th birthday. He had been suffering from the condition for several months and was struck down by a lung infection that his weakened body was unable to fight.

2001年8月5日 · German rower Bahne Rabe won two Olympic medals with the eights, winning gold at Seoul in 1988 representing West Germany, and in 1992 at Barcelona, when he won the bronze medal representing re-unified Germany. Rabe finished sixth with the eights at both the 1986 and 1987 World Championships.
