The RB-79 Ball (ボール Bōru?) is a Mobile Pod introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam. The first RB-79 Balls resulted from the Earth Federation refitting about 1200 civilian-use worker space pods, known as SP-W03 Space Pods, reinforcing them with heavier armor and mounting a 180mm low-recoil cannon on top and multiple thrusters on the body.
