2017年5月26日 · Gothmog was the Lord of Balrogs, yet Sauron was Melkor's second-in-command, had he been a Balrog, he would've been the "Lord". That stronghold was commanded by Sauron, lieutenant of Melkor; and it was named Angband.

The Balrog would probably go somewhere where Sauron had little influence, set itself up as the power behind the throne of a petty kingdom, and spend a few centuries developing its military prowess. Then he'd form an alliance with Gondor or one of the southern or eastern kingdoms and open a two-front war on Mordor.
