Bannister Mall was pretty much the default place that we went for most shopping related outings. I remember walking around that mall with my mom and sister in the early 80s before most of the storefronts were even occupied yet. They had an anchor tenant or two (Sears and Jones, I believe) but a good half of the storefronts were vacant.
