Barker Hall is located on the Northwest corner of campus and houses labs from the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology and from the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute (HWNI). It was named after UC Berkeley Biochemist Horace Barker .

This page describes the research performed in the Thorner Laboratory in the Dept. Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley.

Located on the University of California Berkeley Campus, the seven-story Barker Hall is the location of the Kuryian Laboratory. The seismic retrofit to a 1960’s precast/concrete building included a new grade beam foundation system as well as the addition of tube steel enhancements to 190 perimeter columns.

Barker Hall, located in the central campus at the corner of Administration Drive and Patterson Drive, is the home of the Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC on campus. The building was completed in 1901 and was originally named Alumni Hall. Containing classrooms and a gymnasium, it was known as the Gymnasium (eventually the Old Gymnasium).

The DNA Sequencing Facility, located in 303 Barker Hall, is a scientific recharge facility in the Molecular and Cell Biology Department. The Facility supports research by providing DNA sequencing, genotyping, DNA isolation, and PCR clean-up services as requested by members of up to 200 research labs on and off campus.
