My absolute favorite BattleTech art is Doug Chaffee's Tactical Handbook cover, nowadays featured in TechManual cover (superb choice, so very fitting), also found on page 88 of Campaign Operations current printing. Very futuristic, technical, science fiction. Giant gleaming robots. Alien sky. Really hard to describe what makes it the thing for me.

The quality of the art is great, so please take this as intended to be helpful. The average 'Mech is 10m-12m tall or thereabouts, with the tallest about 15m.

Now let's look at the handbook. 67 peices of art, including alien life forms and scenes set in space. Still not a lot of architecture or conspicuously alient planets, but more art, more uniforms, and still lots of big stompy robots.

I know, of course, that anything to do with the unseens is going to be impossible to get in reproduction, but I have always been a fan of the art of battletech (especially the older stuff from the House Handbooks and magazines of the '80s), and it would be wonderful to know if there is a way of accessing specific images.
