BayCon has been a cornerstone of the San Francisco Bay Area’s science fiction and fantasy community since 1982, bringing together fans, creators, and dreamers from across the world. Over the decades, BayCon has evolved into a vibrant celebration of speculative fiction, where imagination knows no bounds.

BayCon 2020 was scheduled for May of 2020 but the in-person event was cancelled due to the 2020 Pandemic. BayCon 2021 was a series of virtual events to keep the community connected. BayCon 2022 was held July 1-4, 2022 at the San Mateo Marriot.

BayCon 2025 invites you to explore "A Convenient Parallel Dimension," a world where imagination meets reality, and the lines between genres blur. This year, join us for an extraordinary journey through time, space, and beyond as we celebrate the creativity and wonder of speculative fiction with a focus on the supernatural, paranormal, and horror.

Elizabeth Leggett and Ryka Aoki were guests of honor, Raquel Santiago (AKA Lady Phoenix) was community guest, and Bonnie Gordon was musical guest and Toastmaster. The theme was “Pure Imagination.”
