SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Beaverhead Rock State Park is located 14 miles south of Twin Bridges on Montana Highway 41. Sacagawea, a young Shoshone Indian guide traveling with the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805, recognized this rock formation and knew that she may be in the vicinity of her relatives.

Great Hike, great views, it is undeveloped so there is nothing else. We hike in May on cloudy 60 degree day and it was hot, make sure you bring plenty of water. I couldn't figure out where to park without parking on the side of Hwy 41 which I didn't want to do.
