The Beechcraft T-6 Texan II is a single-engine turboprop aircraft built by Textron Aviation. It is a license-built Pilatus PC-9, a trainer aircraft. The T-6 replaced the United States Air Force's Cessna T-37B Tweet and the United States Navy's T-34C Turbo Mentor during the 2010s.

The North American Aviation T-6 Texan is an American single-engined advanced trainer aircraft used to train pilots of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF), United States Air Force (USAF), United States Navy, Royal Air Force, Royal Canadian Air Force and other air forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II and into the 1970s.

Initially known as the Raytheon T-6 Texan II, the Texan II was a single-engine turboprop-powered advanced trainer produced for the United States Air Force. Initially built by Raytheon, this company later became Hawker Beechcraft, and eventually the Beechcraft Corporation. It was basically based on the Pilatus PC-9.

The T-6B is similar to the T-6A except for the cockpit. The T-6B has less, but larger displays, and more importantly head-up displays (HUD). The latter should be visible from the outside, especially when viewed from close by. The standard T-6B has no pylons under the wings, but has HUDs on top of the instrument panels.
