100% beeswax foundation sheets with vertical wires for added stability. The wire on the foundation “with hooks” extends past the top of the wax so it can be placed under the “wedge” piece of your frame to help hold it up.

These super thick wax foundation sheets are perfect to cut up and use as starter strips (typically get between 8-10 each sheet). Each sheet is 16.5″ long by 7.75″. These are slightly too short for standard deep frames but can be cut down for mediums or shallow frames and still have 3-4 starter strips left over as well.

Wax brood foundation is 100% pure unreinforced beeswax foundation. For the best results use a wedged top bar and split bottom bar. Must be reinforced with cross wiring. Available wax brood foundation sizes: 8 1/2″ x 16 3/4″ for 9 1/8″ deep frames, approx. 175 sheets per 25 pound box

Pure beeswax foundation sheets have been used by beekeepers for hundreds of years because they make it easier for the bees to build straight comb. The natural foundation has the honeycomb pattern molded directly into the wax and can be assembled into special bee frames designed to hold it securely.
