The Fairey Fox was a British light bomber and fighter biplane of the 1920s and 1930s. It was originally produced in Britain for the RAF, but continued in production and use in Belgium long after it was retired in Britain.

The first twelve Kestrel IIS powered Fairey Fox II aircraft for Belgium (c/n F.1639 till 1650) were produced at Fairey’s Hayes factory in the United Kingdom and delivered to the Etablissements Aéronautiques at Evere as of 10 January 1932 by Cpt Guillaume and Adjs Caryn and Verboomen.

2019年4月5日 · Fox VIR was a reconnaissance mount with Hispano-Suiza 12Ydrs engine of 860 horsepower to which Belgium collected 24 aircraft and two were delivered to Switzerland. The Fox VIC marked a two-seat fighter form of which 52 were produced. The Fox VII was a fighter model based on the VIR though with only one crew.

No military serial allotted, delivered from Gosselies to Fairey Hayes (U.K.) to be used as prototype for the Fox Trainer Serval (powered by a 360 hp Armstring Siddeley Serval engine) and later Fox VIc.

The Fox IIIC was a Belgian reconnaissance bomber powered by Kestrel engines. These are more modern in their use of an enclosed cockpit. 48 are made in Belgium. Fox IV includes several limited models - the British Demonstration form, the Hispano-Suiza 12Ybrs engine Fox II aircraft and the British Seaplane form.
