Moreover, several of my friends were involved in flight test research with the X-22A No. 2 after it was transferred by the Navy to Calspan in Buffalo, NY.

Later, it was configured to serve as a testbed for V/STOL handling qualities using a variable stability control system. Four General Electric YT53-GE-8D turboshaft engines powered it.

In memory of Chuck Yeager, who passed away on Dec. 7 at the age of 97 this year, this is a new update of his "Glamorous Glennis", with which he broke the sound barrier for the first time in January 1947. The package features reworked and now almost authentic and realistic VC and 2D panels.

Conceived during 1944 and designed and built during 1945, it achieved a speed of nearly 1,000 miles per hour (1,600 km/h; 870 kn) during 1948.

2004年7月22日 · It returns to the original Bell Engineer's pure bullet design by eliminating the unfortunate faired in humps on the top and bottom of the fuse, which the engineers were forced to accept as the original X-1 progressed and encountered the inevitable compromises.
