Bentilee is a housing estate in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, between Hanley and Longton, and parallel with Fenton. Built in the 1950s, Bentilee was at that time one of the largest estates in Europe, with around 4,500 properties.

This is a group for people lucky enough to have lived or grown up on Bentilee. A large housing estate in the Potteries. The estate contains lots of houses, some shops, a couple of pubs, three churches, schools, plenty of open spaces and of course loads of frendly lovable people.

2024年8月4日 · This colossal estate was at one time Europe’s largest housing estate - not Britain’s but Europe’s. It’s not just its mammoth proportions that make Bentilee an interesting subject.

In the 1950’s the council acquired Bentilee Farm and Ubberley Farm and here the largest council estate in Europe was built – a new town with 2,586 houses and a population of over 7,000. It was a brave new world as whole communities from Hanley and Longton moved across the city.

This group is for the Bentilee, Ubberley and Townsend community as a place to converse, discuss, and find out about local events. Community discussions, job adverts, and much more.
