Waymo / Cruise self driving cars are RoboTaxis. You can fall asleep on their cars. But these RoboTaxis are not for sale yet.

In other words, driving itself. "full" because, Autopilot is partial self driving. No where does the definition of "self driving" necessarily mean autonomous.

2021年7月6日 · OpenPilot can be moved from one car to another supported car. If the other car is another brand, you do need to buy the related accessory ($200). OpenPilot is a lot cheaper- $1,300. There’s no ‘subscription’ required. You don’t have range anxiety. For me in TX, I needed to drive more than 600 miles couple of times a year.

2023年9月12日 · Politics aside, people need to stay in control of their car at all times, unless/until we have autonomous driving so good that manufacturers are willing to assume liability for it. Any car that doesn't offer that shouldn't be described as self-driving, and manufacturers shouldn't subtly encourage people to think of it as such.

See my reply to the post above for my experiences with Tesla's self-driving features. There's a lot to recommend about the car (in my opinion), but Autopilot is absolutely not on that list (again, in my opinion).
