2014年4月16日 · Avoid the paint sold by the company "Glow" which appears to be different than "Glow-on". I tried the Ultra Green V10 Glow paint on some pistol sights and it was absolutely worthless. After charging for hours directly under a 75 Watt incandescent light bulb, the usable glow lasted only a few minutes.
Are night sights a “must have” for a self defense gun?
2024年2月1日 · Most of my handguns have night sights. Example, I buy a new Glock, if it has night sights, great. If not I buy night sights and install. In either case I go in the closet, shut the door and check out the new night sights. In all honesty, that’s about it. I have never trained or practiced with night sights.

I see Wheeler, Lyman, MGW, etc. Then again, I have an arbor press and I'm considering just making some brass and plastic drift punch attachments and using that as my sight pusher.

2024年1月18日 · Best answer is direct mount, i.e., without using a plate. You can do that either by milling or through a SCS-type optic. Milling, thanks to the magic of CNC, has gotten progressively cheaper. I had my last slide milled for under $100, and the dot fits tight as a shilling in Ebeneezer Scrooge's wallet.
Least bad pistol red dot for someone with astigmatism
2023年10月12日 · What worked best for me was a red 2 MOA dot, pretty much the exact opposite of what the internet recommended. I got a Holosun 507C which also has a 32 MOA ring that looks decent with and without glasses. I do wish Holosun or some other company offered a sight with the 250 MOA ring that was on the 507 ACSS I tried.
