Promote an inclusive approach to good fly casting for beginners and experienced fishers. Provide ongoing coaching opportunities and casting competitions at BFCC Meetings across the UK with reasonable membership fees. Provide a range of good casting outfits for casters to try.

BFCC will be running fly casting competitions: Trout accuracy on grass; Trout distance and Salmon overhead distance over water. There will be daily comps for everyone to have a go, plus we will be running the Overall GF Championship.

The casting court and targets will be positioned, and casting conducted, as per the World Fly Casting Championship rules. Casters will make 16 casts from within a 1.2m x 1.2m stand at four targets, placed randomly between 8m and 15m from the target’s centre to the front of the stand.

2016年7月2日 · The BFCC is a club that provides meetings around the UK to hold fly casting competitions to encourage people to challenge themselves and others to improve their casting skills in a fun and sociable atmosphere. They also provide excellent fly casting tuition at these meetings to cover a range of skills from beginners to the more experienced anglers.

2011年10月8日 · Well done Hamish! ....... excellent casting today! Our day started off with a few beers at the Premier Inn Glasgow Airport, cheap & more than adequate. Big thanks to all those who made the days happen, event was very well attended despite the grim weather, didn't really notice it myself but there have been better days for throwing lines in a field.

2012年6月12日 · The BFCC casting events are now over for the year, Tracy will be working on next years calendar with the other members in due course. Uniquely there were casting records set at every competition event of the year, including the last one at the NFS with the stunning backdrop of the Swinton Estate house.

2024年8月31日 · The competition consists of accuracy, single-handed and double-handed distance events. There will be two BFCC coaches who will provide fly-casting instruction throughout the day. The BFCC team can provide casting outfits if needed however it is better if you bring your own gear that you are comfortable with for instruction.

2016年6月12日 · We, apparently, have a GB, or possibly English, Welsh and Scots casting team(s) who are supposedly going to the world championships. Not one of them, as far as I know, has cast in any BFCC event in the last two or three years.
