The DL pro BFY provides the most recent generation of ECDL. The hermetically sealed butterfly package and the compact design of the resonator allow for a superior passive mode-stability and robustness compared with others ECDL‘s. It is especially suitable for applications where a care-free operation of the lasers is required.

The miniECL is stable laser diode with reduced complexity based on the integration of the (external) cavity and has on top thermal management and beam collimation integrated into the hermetically sealed butterfly package.

The systems combine mature DFB diode lasers with state-of-the-art GaAs or InGaAs photomixers. The TeraScan 780 offers an outstanding bandwidth, and the TeraScan 1550 sets new benchmarks in terms of terahertz power and dynamic range. Both systems feature TOPTICA's proprietary “DLC smart” control electronics.

Three laser heads, designed specifically for DFB lasers, accommodate different diode packages: the compact DFB pro and its “big brother” DFB pro L integrate 9 mm or TO3-type diodes. The DFB pro BFY offers a dedicated laser head for butterfly-type diodes.

Available at 780 nm and 1.5 µm, the TeraBeam matches the excitation wavelengths of GaAs and InGaAs terahertz emitters, respectively. TOPTICA carefully selects the laser diodes with respect to their thermal tuning range. The DLC Smart controls the temperatures of both lasers with unmatched precision.
