2025年3月26日 · The original BIBA logo, designed in 1988, featured quite a simple concept, based on just the lettering written across a plain white background without any additions. The wordmark was set in the uppercase of a custom serif the face with interesting contours of the “B”s and the “A”, resembling classy ancient manuscripts.

This new look logo was then printed onto garment labels and the woven label and the ‘fat’ Biba lettering was gradually phased out. They also introduced different colour labels around this time, notably pale yellow and cream coloured labels into their lingerie and nightwear.

The new logo of the company depicts a peacock feather. Peacocks have been used to denote art and divinity since time immemorial. The soft edges and contours of the label, together with the symbol, mark the brand as unique and closely associated with womanhood. Biba celebrates the various shades of Indian femininity in the best forms.
