CRT TVs are larger than contemporary flat-screen models because of the large color gun they contain. They are also extremely heavy. According to hdtvsolutions.com, the largest commercially available model CRT TV is about 45 inches and weighs several hundred pounds.

27" is the best big CRT size to me. I like for it to be small enough that I can still pick it up and move it around myself. I also like curved glass instead of flat. Flat ones are extra heavy and don't look as nice for my 2D and 16 bit games.
