2020年7月31日 · This aircraft was delivered to Norwest Orient in 1966 before transferring to Biman in 1973. It was later re-registered as 5N-AYJ for Gas Air Cargo in June 1988. Six months later on a flight from Tanzania to Cario, Egypt, the aircraft flew two missed approaches due to bad weather and then decided to divert to Luxor.

Starting out as NW’s N373US in 3.67 and becoming Transair’s C-CTAI in 1974, this 707 was bought by Bangladesh in 1977 and is seen here in the old colours. She was acquired by Aeronaves del Peru as OB-1400 in 1990 and went into store with the Fuerza del Peru at Lima from 1995. Remains in derelict and very dirty condition.

2022年8月12日 · Seen in the Pan Am maintenance area Southside at Heathrow this 1966 build 707 served with Bangladesh Biman from 1973-1988. It was sold to Gas Air as 5N-AYJ but crashed on approach to Luxor in 1988 when it ran out of fuel with the loss of all 8 on board. Scanned from a slide.
