We promote quantitative digital biology at large, fostering the generation of systems-level knowledge and mathematical models to describe and predict the behavior of biological systems, from organisms to populations.

BioISI is a new institute established in January 2015, merging three former research centres (BioFIG,CFMC,LabMAg) and created to understand and address biological questions using integrative – Systems – approaches, at the forefront of life sciences research at both national and international scales.

BioISI is organized in 30 laboratories within a dynamic structure, facilitating interactions and promoting a bottom-up emergence of knowledge. Each laboratory is associated with one research program to which it contributes most.
