The Brügger & Thomet VP9 (Veterinary Pistol 9mm) is a manually repeating, magazine-fed, integrally-suppressed pistol created by Brügger & Thomet (now B&T) for use as a veterinary pistol for putting down sick and wounded animals.

The legendary silenced Welrod pistol that was developed during the Second World War for special operations has found a worthy successor thanks to the Swiss special weapons producer B&T (formerly Brügger & Thomet). It is called the VP9 and remains a modern, compact and extremely quiet weapon.

2017年7月18日 · The VP9 “Veterinary Pistol” (um…yeah) from Brugger & Thomet is a manually operated 9x19mm handgun with a quite effective suppressor built right onto the barrel. It is, in fact, a remarkably close copy of the British SOE Welrod pistol from World War II, right down to some pretty minor details.

The B&T VP9 is influenced by the welrod pistol used by the OSS, the VP9 was originally designed to be simple, reliable, concealable, and ultimately quiet pistol for clandestine operations. This ultra-quiet 5-round pistol is the ultimate silenced platform.
