The board consists of seven members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate, and student members selected by the student bodies of SIU at Carbondale and SIU at Edwardsville.

Hannah Connolly was elected by the students of SIU Carbondale (SIUC) to serve on the SIU Board of Trustees for a one-year term from July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.

The USG represents the undergraduate student body at SIU in all matters pertaining to student welfare, student activities, and student participation in University planning and administration.

Last week, we held the SRC Election Day at SIUC, and it was incredible to see our students coming together to vote and support their future leaders! For all of us at SIC, hitting the water is not only about fun but also part of our job. We have the privilege to dream, create and test boards, foils, wings, and surfboards.
