Looking for advice on how to REALLY dock an IO boat against a wind, like the picture above. Using a typical 28 to 30 ft cruiser that weighs 7 to 10 thousand pounds, with twin IOs and no thrusters. Have a wind pushing you away from the dock, and toward another boat, and have about 8 ft to play with. Wind is 10 knots, which is very common.

2017年7月25日 · Docking a boat that size depending on wind/current in a small area isn't easy, and if you say you've never done it, then no, you cannot do it better than the captain. I wouldn't bag on him unless you've done it. I've been skunked on trips outta canaveral, and spend about $200 on my boat with everything each trip. It's fishing not catching.

The inability to withstand water / moisture on hulls is evidenced by boat manufacturer's limit on warranty coverage for osmotic blistering generally limited to five years or less. Since your boat will be in water when it is being used it may be vulnerable to osmosis. SeaPen Dry Docks do not prevent osmosis.
