We purchased these aircraft as turn-ins to Boeing from previous lease agreements with civilian airlines. Because of the time consuming Gov't acquisiton process, the aircraft we ended up purchasing were "picked-over" and the ones we ended up with came from areas where they were subject to contact with coastal areas and had significant corosion.

Converted to a C-22A. Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 84-0193. Transferred to 310th Miliary Airlift Squadron/Military Airlift Command, Howard AFB, Panama Canal Zone. Transferred to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) with inventory number U0002.
