British musician, producer and DJ based in Los Angeles, born 30 March 1976. He debuted with a trip-hop aesthetic, and has since explored more upbeat approaches while experimenting with jazz and world music. His electronic sound incorporates the use of organic instrumentation, and is recreated by a full band during his live performances.

The Ninja Tune artist talks harps, mentors and hip-hop production. Released in August 2024 on Ninja Tune, “Expander”, cuts a slice of unmistakable Bonobo, with the single deftly weaving organic vocals and instrumentation with peak-time dance-floor sensibilities.

Since the release of his 2022 album ‘Fragments,’ Bonobo, AKA Simon Green, also released three dancefloor singles on his OUTLIER imprint with Ninja Tune in "Defender," "ATK," and "Fold," which was alongside Jacques Greene and also curated multiple global OUTLIER DJ events.
