2020年12月11日 · This is a great boom bap kit - the snares are just ok, but the kicks, hats, etc. are all saucy & the folder titled "goodies" has some unique sounds in there.

Golden age boom bap mostly took from 70s soul & funk, but you could sample drum breaks from today if you wanted to. I like to get my breaks from rock & punk records from the 80s or 90s, because I haven’t heard anyone else going to that well, and they have a different sound because the drums were recorded differently.

I personally would stay away from Lunch77, he has some good trap kits but a lot of his more old school boom-bap focused kits range from mediocre to basically unusable. Also the Ensoniq E-MU SP 1200 drum kit from SoundBankz is pretty good

2021年8月1日 · Cheap drumset in a small room. I had about 6 mics and just mixed them differently in post to get the different room sounds (Most expensive one was an SM57 on the snare), all going into pro tools and i used A LOT of processing (mostly compressors, gates, distortion, rc20 etc).
