2009年9月6日 · re: Bose 901 Speakers There are just too many incorrect statements about Bose 901 or 901s. The Bose 901 Speakers are fantastic speakers. True there are many other good speakers too. Yes, the Bose 901s do require a special EQ. The EQ is not hard to hook up but does require a Pre-In/Out or a Tape Monitor.

As some of you may know, these speakers require the Bose equalizer to sound "right." The wiring diagram indicates that you need a receiver that has a tape monitoring loop.

2010年4月16日 · The little Bose cube speakers are what is over priced. Bose floor speakers, like your 901's, are excellent speakers and do not need marketing hype. The 901's are what got Bose where they are, not marketing. I tell you this from first hand experience. The 901 speakers are the best music speakers I have heard in their category.

2023年6月4日 · My purchase consisted of the Bose 901 III speakers, which I lusted over since the day the 901 I was released. One of my friends purchased the AR3a speakers. There were a mix of other combinations from others, but being familiar with the AR4a speakers I already owned, I was particularly interested in the AR3a speakers.

2014年10月24日 · Currently have a yamaha integrated amp, 100 watts per channel the newer one. Want my speakers to play louder. They will be placed in a large room above garage. About 750 sq foot. There still in storage, But im looking for an amp thats not too expensive that exepts the bose eq. I read that they accept up to 450 watts per side.

2024年10月15日 · The Bose Spatial Control Receiver actually has 4 discrete amplifiers or channels built in. Using the Bose Spatial Control Receiver, the 901's 4 inside speakers were connected to a separate amplifier than the 4 outside speakers plus the single front firing speaker.

2005年11月4日 · The Bose 901 EQ is specific to the speakers, therefore, no other eq will work as well. If I remember the info I got at the Bose tech school in the 70's, the eq has a plus or minus 18db range. This would be a good time to sell the 901's and get new speakers.

I know the Yamaha RX A3010 Surround Amplifier combines the Yamaha RX 460 170Watt Stereo Receiver with a newer version of what the DSP E1000 270Watt Digital Sound Processor / Amplifier did, thus making these two components redundant.
