The AN/BQS-15 is an underwater mine detection and avoidance sonar for SSN-668 Los Angeles class attack submarines. This close range active sonar, supplied by Ametek, is a high frequency sonar which can also be used for ice detection.

The BQS-15 and BQS-24 MIDAS (mine- and ice-detection-avoidance sonars) are deployed aboard U.S. LOS ANGELES-, OHIO - and SEAWOLF-class submarines. All three systems are integrated into these submarines' primary sonars (AN/BQQ-5 or AN/BQQ-6).
