Many understand the relationship between small rifle and small rifle magnum primers to be the same as the relationship between large rifle and large rifle magnum primers, which is that the magnum primers are stronger than their standard counterparts.

2025年1月15日 · BR-4 primers just seem to be4 better quality controlled CCI-450 primers. CCI says their BR primers are not magnum primers and that's true for large rifle BR-2 primers, but by definition, small rifle "bench rest" primers are magnum primers.

2020年6月28日 · The BR-4 gives me the same velocity as the 400. I do get a little lower SD with the BR primers. I tested them in my 556 loads but now use them for my 65CM. I use 8208 for my 556 loads and my magic load likes the Fed GMM primer. Sub MOA and an SD of 3 and 10 ES. Across 50 rounds the SD went up to 4.1 and ES to 13 or 14 if my memory is correct.

2022年1月8日 · I have the BR-4 model and it is the only model from them I have experience with, it has worked well for me with no issues. I have run it on guns from an 8 pound 1 ounce unbraked 28 Nosler running very stout loads and with horrible recoil, a 300 WM under 9 pounds that also is nasty to shoot, and 12-14 pound rifles with light to moderate recoil.

2013年2月23日 · The br-4 is a good primer, no doubt. But..... I did a test on these vs cci 450. They are the exact same primer. Same “magnum” cup thickness, exact same mixture. I shot them side by side in identical 6.5 creedmoor loads. Save yourself $15 per thousand primers and buy the 450. Edit: here’s the link to my test. Pics are broken for some reason.

2020年7月31日 · i'm using the SR-5 G2 (larger than the BR). commented in another thread earlier. while it does offer greater height and width, it isn't much taller than my harris/larue bipod when the legs are at 45 degrees.

2015年7月6日 · The BR-4 is a very tough primer. It holds pressure well. I think they charge too much for them, but I used them on a large batch of .223 ammo and they worked very well teamed with Varget and 69 grain SMK's.
