Brian Patrick Lamb (/ læm /; born October 9, 1941) [1] is an American journalist. He is the founder, executive chairman, and the now-retired CEO of C-SPAN, an American cable network that provides coverage of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate as well as other public affairs events.

Brian Lamb is founder of the C-SPAN Networks and C-SPAN’s former executive chair. He’s been an integral part of C-SPAN since he helped the cable industry launch it on March 19, 1979, serving as the network’s CEO until March of 2012.
