2019年1月23日 · The 10¼in-gauge Diddly’s Miniature Railway in Brooklands Park, East Worthing, West Sussex, closed on September 23, with the track lifted in October. It was opened in 1965 as a normal, steam-operated 9½in-gauge railway, and was re-gauged in 1967 when extended around the large lake.

2019年7月4日 · The Brooklands Miniature Railway originally opened in 1965 as a 9.5 inch gauge line which ran in an end to end formation on the west end of the lake at the pleasure park. Trains were pulled by an American Outline steam engine or petrol engine.

2025年1月27日 · In 1965, a 9.5" gauge miniature railway was laid out as a 660 yard 'out and back' ride at the western end of the lake in Brooklands Park, Lancing. It had come from Danson Park, Bexley Heath.

Initially 9½ inch gauge, opened around Easter 1965 with an American-style steam locomotive. Track replaced to 10¼ inch gauge, and bridge, by March 1967. This time with a diesel locomotive from Severn Lamb Ltd. Closed in the autumn of 2018, as part of a planned re-working of the whole of Brooklands Park.
