Lots of makers contracted a knife or three to Camillus to make for them. The blade steel is a 'best' guess. As there may have been some variation on orders. I would call it most likely 440a.

2011年3月21日 · In my collection, the 1990 305 has 2 springs with brass liners and in 1991 it's the newer style with the 1 piece nickel silver frame. I'm going to assume 1992 sees the start of 420HC. Other than the slight possibility of 425m in 1991, which I am not sure about, any 2 spring model with the newer frame style up to the present is all the same.

2005年12月18日 · I bought an old '75 Coronet from the original owner a couple of yrs ago and found a Buck 305 in the ashtray. I happened to look it up on the Buck website and couldn't figure out the year. The knives I see pics of all have the normal crescent-shaped indentation for pulling out the blade. Mine has a straight-line indent that is almost an inch long.

2011年11月21日 · Schrade contracted the first Buck folders. They were made in the 301 and 303 stockman mode. Some discussion on the two blade 305 model has occurred in the past. The general consensus (99%) feel that Schrade never made the 305. No paperwork to that either way has ever surfaced. Schrade did not make a 309, only Camillus.
