The Bug Facers were a posthuman species that evolved from the Insectophagi. Over the course of their evolution, the Insectophagi's leathery face plates ossified and became a part of their jaws. This, in combination with the reduced digits on their hands, that became pincer-like, lead to them superficially resembling their insectile prey.

They are a shy species of post humans, and shied away from the colonies. They had xenophobia, which led them to staying away from the other post humans for forty million years. They evolved from the Insectophagi, and they grew more intelligent than their descendants. They later evolved into the Subjects, after the Gravitals took over.

The Subjects were a diversified group of posthuman species created from the Bug Facers by the Gravital and the only biological species in the Gravital empire. The Subjects worship and respect Terrestrials like gods.
