The Principality of Burthorpe, referred to colloquially as Burthorpe, is a military principality north-west of Falador and north of Taverley. It's led by Crown Prince Anlaf, and hope to Burthorpe Imperial Guard, who defend the citadel standing between Burthorpe and Trollheim against trolls in the ongoing Burthorpe–Troll Country War.

You may easily access this city by rubbing a Games Necklace and choosing the Troll Invasion option, using a Combat bracelet and teleport to just outside the Warriors' Guild, and using the Home Teleport spell to teleport to Burthorpe.

Burthorpe mine is an underground mine north-west of Taverley and south of Burthorpe. It contains copper, tin, clay, silver, iron, and common gem rocks. It is notable for being very close to a furnace, 2 anvils, and a forge; all are also metal banks. Linza and two miners were trapped in this mine during the Troll Warzone tutorial.

Burthorpe Castle, also called Burthorpe Citadel, is the official residence of Crown Prince Anlaf, son of King Vallance and heir to the Kingdom of Asgarnia. The castle is in the north-central part of Burthorpe and its lower levels contain the Burthorpe Games Room.

The Burthorpe Games Room is a minigame area located under Burthorpe Castle in Burthorpe. Players can teleport there using a games necklace, or by using the Grouping interface. There are no rewards or prizes for playing each except for game rankings.

Burthorpe Castle is the central feature of the principality of Burthorpe. Various houses and businesses are lined around the castle, and its lower level contains the Burthorpe Games Room. The Burthorpe Castle is home to Crown Prince Anlaf, son of the king of Asgarnia.

Burthorpe is a very quiet town. You start three quests there including Death Plateau, Troll Stronghold and A Tale of Two Cats. Burthorpe is also the holder of the games room, and the Rogue's Den.
